Baker Mfg. Ltd.- The first 100 years

1924 - 1944
It all began with an idea to expand into Canada. The Baker Manufacturing Company of Evansville, Wisconsin purchased the wholesale division of the Manitoba Engine Company. The new corporation was located in Brandon and specialized in pumps, pump jacks, cylinders, engines, tanks, lightning arrestors, feed grinders, pipe & fittings and windmills.

1945 - 1987
In the 1940’s Baker Mfg. Ltd. moved from Brandon to Winnipeg.
In 1958, Baker was invited to be the first wholesale member of the inaugural Manitoba Water Well Association.
In 1977, Baker moved to our current location at 1333 Richard Avenue.

1988 - 2026
In 1999, Baker celebrated 75 years in Canada with a visit from Peter Sears, the President of Baker Manufacturing Company of Evansville, Wisconsin. Discussions ensued and our Branch Manager, Clark Myers purchased Baker Mfg Ltd. in 1999.
In 2024, Baker celebrated 100 years!
