History
In 1875, Baker Manufacturing Company of Evansville, Wisconsin
began producing iron
pumps and wooden windmills under the Monitor name. By
1890, Monitor offered large cylinder pumps, pine water
tanks and a triangle driven rotary windmill.
Recognition came quickly. Monitor was awarded its first
gold medal as a source of ingenuity and design at the
Columbian Exposition of 1893.
For over 135 years, Monitor has pursued excellence by
creating innovative products based on the real needs of
its customers.
